The drive belts
drive the oil pump of the power steering, the radiator
fan, the alternator and the air conditioner compressor.
Therefore, if these belts deteriorate, become severed
or start slipping, the symptoms described above
could occur and create serious problems.
When you occasionally
hear a squeaking noise, it is proof that a belt
has become loose. Have your dealer inspect the
belts for deterioration and cracks and have them
replaced accordingly. We recommend that you periodically
bring your car to a Mitsubishi authorized dealer
for an inspection even if there is no squeaking
sound.
